Who is Eligible?

You may be eligible for two pairs of single vision spectacles every two years if you hold one of the following for more than six months:

📄 Pension Card (Centrelink)
📄 Health Care Card (Centrelink)
📄 Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)
📄 Queensland Government Seniors Card

Important: If your claim is submitted within 2 years of receiving your last MASS glasses and no significant prescription change is shown, the claim may be rejected. In addition, change of mind is not permitted once frames have been selected and the application has been submitted.

If you hold a concession card for the first time, you will need to wait for at least six months before submitting a claim.

FAQ

1. I'm not sure if I’ve already claimed glasses through MASS in the last 2 years — what should I do?

You can still go ahead and submit your claim online. If MASS determines you’re not eligible due to a recent previous claim, we’ll notify you by email.

2. How do I check if I’m eligible for the free glasses program?

Look at the name of your concession card. If you hold any of the following, you’re eligible for two pairs of single vision glasses every 2 years:

  • Pension Card (Centrelink)

  • Health Care Card (Centrelink)

  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)

  • Queensland Government Seniors Card

3. Can I get bifocal or multifocal lenses?

Unfortunately, MASS does not cover multifocal lenses. We currently don’t offer bifocal lenses online as they require detailed optical measurements that can't be captured remotely.

4. Is there any warranty or replacement option for government-issued glasses?

Yes. If your prescription changes, you can obtain an updated spectacle prescription from your optometrist and email us through mygovspecs@outlook.com. Our team will reach out if there’s any issue with processing your new application.
